My name is Kris Meraki.
I studied Art, Craft and Design at Grennan Mill Craft School (GMCS) in Ireland.
As an artist and textile designer, I work predominantly with the biodegradable and renewable medium of pure wool in combination with silk, paper and different types of natural fibers.
I create my work by combining techniques such as dying, felting and sculptural manipulation.
I like to investigate how textile pieces occupy space and how they manage to stimulate our senses.
I design and elaborate one of a kind garments, accessories and decorative objects that seek to arouse curiosity and evoke balance.
I feel a deep respect for the environment and I try to convey it through my creations.
